Terms & Conditions

All renters must satisfy the following minimum criteria to be eligible to hire a vehicle from SK. Failure to meet any requirement will result in immediate cancellation of the rental without refund.

• The primary driver must be at least 21 years of age. Drivers under 25 years may be subject to a Young Driver Surcharge.
• A valid, current driving licence issued by a recognised authority must be presented at pickup. International renters must additionally carry an International Driving Permit (IDP).
• The licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years and must be valid for the entire rental period.
• Additional drivers must be registered at the time of pickup and must also present a valid licence. An additional driver fee applies.
• SKreserves the right to conduct a licence verification check and to refuse rental at its sole discretion.

All reservations are subject to vehicle availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of the booking confirmation email and applicable advance payment.

• A non-refundable booking fee of 20% of the total rental amount is required to confirm a reservation.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full at the time of vehicle pickup prior to key handover.
• Accepted payment methods: credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay), UPI, and bank transfers. Cash payments are not accepted.
• All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless otherwise stated.
• Rates are subject to change without notice. The rate confirmed at booking will be honoured for that reservation.

The renter accepts the vehicle in the condition documented at pickup and is responsible for returning it in the same condition, subject to fair wear and tear.

• A pre-rental inspection will be conducted jointly by the renter and a SK representative. Any existing damage must be noted and signed off on the Condition Report before departure.
• Vehicles must only be operated on paved, public roads unless specifically rented as an off-road / 4×4 variant and documented accordingly.
• The vehicle must not be used for hire, reward, courier services, racing, testing, or any commercial purpose without prior written consent.
• Towing other vehicles or trailers is strictly prohibited unless the rental agreement expressly permits this.
• Renters are responsible for checking tyre pressure, oil, coolant, and other fluid levels during extended rentals and are liable for any damage arising from neglect.

The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute a material breach of this agreement, entitling SKto immediately terminate the rental, recover the vehicle, and forfeit the full security deposit:

• Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any substance that impairs driving ability.
• Permitting any person not registered as an authorised driver to operate the vehicle.
• Transporting the vehicle across state or national borders without prior written approval from SK.
• Smoking, carrying pets, or transporting hazardous, illegal, or inflammable materials inside the vehicle.
• Sub-letting, lending, pledging, or otherwise parting with possession of the vehicle.
• Tampering with the odometer, GPS tracker, or any electronic system fitted to the vehicle.

All SKvehicles are covered by a comprehensive motor insurance policy as mandated by the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The following terms govern the extent of insurance coverage and renter liability.

• Basic third-party liability insurance is included in all rentals at no additional cost.
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Personal Accident Cover (PAC) are available as optional add-ons and must be purchased at the time of booking.
• CDW reduces the renter's excess liability to the stated deductible amount in the event of damage caused by a collision.
• Insurance coverage is void if the vehicle is operated in breach of any clause in this agreement, including but not limited to prohibited activities.
• The renter remains fully liable for all damage, loss, or theft that occurs while the vehicle is in their custody.

A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle pickup. The deposit amount varies by vehicle category and will be communicated at the time of booking.

• Security deposits are held as a pre-authorisation on the renter's credit card or collected as a cash-equivalent bank transfer.
• The deposit will be refunded of vehicle return, subject to inspection and deduction of any applicable charges.
• Damage not covered by CDW, interior damage (seats, dashboard, infotainment), tyre punctures, and wheel damage are charged separately.
• In the event of theft, the renter is liable for the full insured value of the vehicle less any insurance settlement.
• Costs of cleaning arising from excessive soiling, spillage, or smoking will be deducted from the deposit.

Early returns are not eligible for a refund of unused rental days. Bookings modified to a shorter duration may incur a change fee as per the prevailing schedule.

SKprovides 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the rental period. In the event of a breakdown or accident, renters must follow the procedure below:

• Contact the SKEmergency Helpline immediately at 1800-XXX-XXXX (toll-free). Do not attempt repairs without authorisation.
• In the event of an accident, obtain a First Information Report (FIR) from the nearest police station before moving the vehicle, wherever possible.
• SKwill arrange a replacement vehicle at the earliest available opportunity, subject to fleet availability, within a reasonable distance from the breakdown location.
• Breakdowns caused by renter negligence (e.g., running out of fuel, punctures due to prohibited road usage) will not qualify for free assistance and may incur a call-out charge.

The renter is solely responsible for all fines, penalties, and legal consequences arising from traffic violations, parking contraventions, or toll non-compliance during the rental period.

• Any challans or fines received by SKrelating to the renter's period of custody will be forwarded along with a ₹500 administrative handling fee per violation.
• FASTag toll charges are the renter's responsibility. Vehicles are equipped with FASTag; linked charges will be deducted from the security deposit or invoiced separately.
• Repeated violations or a documented history of reckless driving may result in denial of future rentals.

SKcollects and processes personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

• Vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking devices for operational, safety, and security purposes. Location data is retained for 90 days post-rental.
• Personal data (name, licence details, contact information, payment data) is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the rental agreement and will not be sold to third parties.
